Formed in Bristol (UK) in 2014, We Merry Kings have played to thousands of music fans across England at a wide variety of venues, festivals and shows. This indie-rock quartet started life as an acoustic act playing some of the country’s more sedate venues. After a few shows though, electricity was added and the sound and energy that We Merry Kings’ gigs have come to be known for was born.
Playing a variety of shows – from the pubs and fields of rural England to some of the South West’s most iconic music venues – the band is in its element whilst on stage. In 2015 and 2016, We Merry Kings gigged regularly to ever growing audiences, culminating in a show in front of several hundred people at Bristol’s O2 Academy.

“Indie pop band We Merry Kings [combine] fantastic songwriting with an incredible live show…” – Synthetica
Following these shows, the band released their first singles – ‘XYZ’ and ‘Firewhisky Girl’ – to positive reviews. After even more gigging last year, 2018 will see the band not only adding to the list of gig venues played, but also releasing their highly anticipated debut EP: ‘Big Bad Wolf’.
